2 lbs apples, peeled, cored, cubed
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons white wine
1 tablespoon sugar

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, cook apples with water for about 15 minutes or until just tender, stirring occasionally, then stir in the wine.
  • Remove from heat & mash until lumpy but not yet smooth.
  • Add sugar, to taste, then chill before serving.
