Amish Bob Andy Pie image

Supposedly named because an Amish farmer declared it to be as good as his two workhorses, Bob and Andy.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 9-inch unbaked pie crust
1 c brown sugar, lightly packed
2 Tbsp all purpose flour
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 1/2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs, separated
1 c milk

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  • 2. In a large bowl, mix together brown sugar, flour, cloves and cinnamon.
  • 3. Add butter, egg yolks and milk to mixture.
  • 4. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff, then add to milk mixture.
  • 5. Pour into pie crust. Bake 10 minutes. Reduce oven to 350F. and bake another 20-25 minutes, or until set.
  • 6. Cool and serve.
