1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 1/4 cups (or more) Coca-Cola
3 15- to 16-ounce cans assorted beans (such as kidney, black and pinto), drained
6 bacon slices, quartered crosswise

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my baked beans turned out mushy. I think I might have overcooked them.

I used vegetarian bacon in this recipe, and it turned out great! The baked beans were still smoky and flavorful, even without the meat.

These baked beans were a little too sweet for my taste. I think I'll try using less brown sugar next time.
