Beer Bread image

My sister-in-law passed this recipe along to me. It's a great bread to use with dips!

Number Of Ingredients 10

3 c flour
1 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 can(s) beer
1-2 Tbsp butter/margarine, melted
OPTIONAL ADD INS - ALL, SOME, OR NONE
1 envelope (1 oz) dry ranch seasoning
garlic powder
shredded cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Grease a standard loaf pan. Preheat oven to 375.
  • 2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together (and any add-ins). Stir in beer. Pour into bread pan. Top with melted butter.
  • 3. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from center. Let cool slightly and remove from pan. Finish cooling on a wire rack.

This is the best beer bread I've ever had! It's so easy to make, and it always turns out perfect. I love the slightly sweet flavor of the bread, and the crust is always so crispy. I highly recommend this recipe!

This bread was a bit too dense for my taste. I think I might have overmixed the batter. I also found that the bread was a bit too sweet for my liking. Next time, I'll try using a less sweet beer.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well this beer bread turned out. I'm not a huge fan of beer, but I didn't taste it at all in the bread. The bread was moist and fluffy, with a slightly crispy crust. I will definitely be making this again!
