Who doesn't like coffee and chocolate for breakfast- it's like-"have your cake and drink it too"- This bread with dark chocolate, coffee, toasted almonds. and chocolate chip frosting with Irish whiskey should wake you up in a hurry. This was one of my dad's favorite bread desserts.

Steps:
- 1. Heat oven to 350^. Grease (2) 8x5 inch loaf pans-bake 45-50 minutes or (5) 5x3-inch mini loaf pans.-bake 30-35 minutes Bread: Combine brown sugar and butter in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often until smooth and creamy. Add melted chocolate chips and eggs; continue beating until well mixed.
- 2. Add flour, applesauce,cold coffee, baking powder, soda and vanilla. Reduce speed to low; continue beating, scraping bowl if necessary,until mixture is creamy. Stir in the chocolate chips.
- 3. Spoon batter into prepared pans of your choice. Bake until center crack is dry when touched. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan/pans, to wire rack and cool completely.
- 4. Glaze: Combine chips,butter and whiskey in a heavy saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted and smooth. Remove from heat, stir in powdered sugar,and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Frost loaves while a little warm.
