Time 25m

Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 8

4 thick bacon strips, cut into small pieces
1 pound ground beef
⅔ cup diced green onions
½ teaspoon garlic salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
4 tablespoons steak sauce (such as A1®)
4 slices sharp or mild Cheddar cheese
4 hamburger buns

Steps:

  • Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-low heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 5 minutes. Drain bacon bits on paper towels.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat, 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) to 325 degrees F (165 degrees Fahrenheit). Lightly oil the grate.
  • Separate ground beef into 1/4-pound portions. Mix bacon and green onions in a bowl and press onto either side of ground beef, working it in until mixture has an even consistency. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
  • Meanwhile, begin toasting hamburger buns on the grill rack.
  • Remove burgers and buns from the grill once the cheese has melted. Assemble burgers.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality beef. Ground chuck or sirloin are good choices for burgers. Look for beef that is at least 80% lean.
  • Don't overmix the meat. Overmixing can make the burgers tough. Mix the meat just until it is combined.
  • Form the burgers gently. Don't pack the meat too tightly. The burgers should be about 3/4 inch thick.
  • Make a well in the center of each burger. This will help the burgers cook evenly.
  • Cook the burgers over medium heat. This will help prevent the burgers from burning on the outside and being raw on the inside.
  • Flip the burgers only once. Flipping the burgers too often can dry them out.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check the burgers for doneness. The burgers are done when they reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Let the burgers rest for a few minutes before serving. This will help the juices redistribute throughout the burgers.

Conclusion:

A-1 Steak Sauce Burgers are a delicious and easy-to-make meal. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a burger that is sure to please everyone. The A-1 Steak Sauce adds a unique flavor to the burgers that makes them stand out from the rest. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, give A-1 Steak Sauce Burgers a try.
