Provided by Shashi Charles

Categories     Dinner

Time 30m

Yield 3 servings

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 salmon fillets, 1 in (2.5 cm) thick
1 ½ teaspoons coriander
½ teaspoon turmeric
½ teaspoon chili powder
1 tablespoon chili flakes
¼ cup honey
⅛ teaspoon salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Place honey in a microwave safe dish and heat for 10 seconds until slightly warm.
  • Add in the turmeric, coriander, chili powder, salt, pepper, and chili flakes into the warmed honey and mix very well until all are incorporated.
  • Wash and pat dry the salmon fillets. When salmon fillets are dry, spoon on the honey-chili mixture onto each, making sure to coat the sides as well (this is messy and you will have to wash your air-fryer pan).
  • Then, place the salmon fillets in an air fryer, set temperature to 400°F and set time to 12 minutes. When time is up, remove salmon fillets and enjoy with your favorite sides.

Tips:

  • Choose the right salmon fillet: Look for a fillet that is about 1 inch thick and has the skin on. The skin will help to keep the salmon moist during cooking.
  • Make sure the salmon is fully thawed before cooking: If the salmon is frozen, thaw it in the refrigerator overnight or in a bowl of cold water for 30 minutes.
  • Pat the salmon dry before cooking: This will help the glaze to stick to the salmon.
  • Use a non-stick cooking spray or lightly grease the air fryer basket: This will help to prevent the salmon from sticking.
  • Cook the salmon in a single layer: Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket, or the salmon will not cook evenly.
  • Flip the salmon halfway through cooking: This will help to ensure that the salmon cooks evenly.
  • Brush the salmon with the bourbon glaze during the last few minutes of cooking: This will help to caramelize the glaze and give the salmon a delicious flavor.

Conclusion:

Air fryer bourbon glazed salmon is a quick and easy recipe that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The salmon is cooked to perfection in the air fryer, and the bourbon glaze adds a delicious flavor that the whole family will love. Serve the salmon with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or rice.
