Tips:

  • Choose the right type of sausage: For air frying, it's best to choose a sausage that is not too thick, as it will cook more evenly. Breakfast sausage, Italian sausage, and bratwurst are all good options.
  • Preheat your air fryer: Preheating the air fryer helps to ensure that the sausage cooks evenly. Most air fryers have a preheat setting, but if yours doesn't, simply set it to the highest temperature for a few minutes before adding the sausage.
  • Cook the sausage in batches: If you're cooking a lot of sausage, it's best to cook it in batches. This will help to prevent the sausage from overcrowding the air fryer and cooking unevenly.
  • Flip the sausage halfway through cooking: Flipping the sausage halfway through cooking helps to ensure that it cooks evenly on all sides.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the sausage: The internal temperature of the sausage should reach 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius) before it is safe to eat.

Conclusion:

Air frying is a quick and easy way to cook sausage. By following these tips, you can ensure that your sausage is cooked evenly and to perfection. Air-fried sausage is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Serve it with your favorite sides, such as eggs, pancakes, hash browns, or roasted vegetables.
