When our DD and SIL came for a visit, they introduced us to two mouthwatering recipes which they prepared as a birthday treat. They prepared these fries along with Marinated Grilled Steaks, like The Outback. Needless to say, it was an absolutely delicious meal. Hope you enjoy this as much as we did.

Tips:

  • Choose the right potatoes: Russet potatoes are the best choice for fries because they are starchy and have a high solids content, which makes them crispy when fried.
  • Cut the potatoes evenly: This will help them cook evenly. If the potatoes are not cut evenly, some pieces will be overcooked while others are still undercooked.
  • Soak the potatoes in water: Soaking the potatoes in water for 30 minutes before frying will help to remove excess starch, which will make them less likely to stick together.
  • Fry the potatoes twice: Frying the potatoes twice will make them extra crispy. The first fry will cook the potatoes through, and the second fry will crisp them up.
  • Use a good quality cheese: The type of cheese you use will make a big difference in the taste of your fries. Use a cheese that melts well and has a good flavor.
  • Season the fries: Season the fries with salt, pepper, and your favorite seasonings before serving. This will help to enhance the flavor of the fries.

Conclusion:

Amarillo cheese fries are a delicious and easy-to-make snack or side dish. They are perfect for parties, potlucks, or game day gatherings. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make a batch of cheese fries that will be sure to please everyone. So next time you are looking for a quick and tasty snack, give Amarillo cheese fries a try.
