Tips:

  • Use fresh fruit: Fresh apricots and grapes add a burst of flavor and natural sweetness to the bread. If you don't have fresh fruit, you can use frozen or dried fruit, but be sure to adjust the amount of liquid in the recipe accordingly.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter will make the bread tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Add the nuts last: Stir in the Grape Nuts cereal last, to prevent them from becoming soggy.
  • Bake the bread until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean: This will ensure that the bread is cooked through.
  • Let the bread cool before slicing: This will help the bread to hold its shape.
