Categories     One Dish Meal

Time 55m

Yield 4-6 breast halves, 4-6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 -6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves, uncooked
4 -6 slices swiss cheese
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of celery soup, undiluted
1/3 cup water or 1/3 cup dry white wine
2 cups herb stuffing mix
1/3 cup butter, melted

Steps:

  • Preheat over to 350. Place chicken breasts in a greased baking dish. Cover each breast with a slice of cheese. Mix together water/wine with soup, pour over the top of chicken. Top with unprepared stuffing mix, you can use more or less to your liking. Drizzle butter over stuffing. Bake uncovered for 50-60 minutes.

Tips:

  • Mise en place: Gather and prepare all your ingredients and equipment before you start cooking. This will make the process much smoother and less stressful.
  • Season generously: Don't be afraid to use plenty of salt and pepper. These essential spices bring out the flavor of the other ingredients and make the dish taste more delicious.
  • Cook chicken to the right temperature: Use a meat thermometer to ensure that the chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). This will help to prevent foodborne illness.
  • Let the chicken rest: After cooking, let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing or serving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more tender and flavorful dish.
  • Get creative with sides: Chicken can be paired with a variety of sides, so don't be afraid to experiment until you find your favorite combinations.
