- 5. Stir in banana and vanilla. Spoon batter into a greased and floured 8- x 4-inch loaf pan.
- 6. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until a long wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean and sides pull away from pan, shielding with aluminum foil last 15 minutes to prevent browning, if necessary. Cool bread in pan on wire racks 10 minutes. Remove from pan, and cool 30 minutes on wire racks before slicing.
- 7. For the Chai mix: I make this and keep it on hand to add to smoothies. Combine all ingredients (ground) and keep in an air tight container.
Tips:
- Use ripe bananas: The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful your bread will be.
- Mash the bananas well: This will help to ensure that the bread is evenly moist and has a smooth texture.
- Use a combination of spices: Chai tea typically contains a blend of spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and nutmeg. You can use a pre-made chai tea blend or create your own using your favorite spices.
- Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing can result in a tough, dense bread. Mix the batter just until the ingredients are well combined.
- Bake the bread until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean: This will ensure that the bread is cooked through.
- Let the bread cool completely before slicing: This will help to prevent the bread from crumbling.
Conclusion:
Banana chai bread is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. With its moist texture, sweet banana flavor, and warm chai spices, this bread is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
