SLOW COOKER BBQ CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS
I wanted a recipe for chicken legs in the slow cooker, so I searched many recipes and finally found two that I meshed together to get the perfect BBQ chicken legs. My family loved them, and the texture and flavor of the chicken was awesome! This 2-step process is what makes it so great-the slow cooker keeps the chicken very juicy, and then finishing it in the oven crisps up the skin without drying up the chicken.

Tips:
- Choose the right chicken drumsticks: Look for drumsticks that are plump and have a good amount of meat on them. Avoid drumsticks that are thin or have a lot of bone.
- Season the drumsticks well: The key to great-tasting barbecue is to season the meat well. Use a flavorful blend of spices and herbs, such as paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and chili powder.
- Cook the drumsticks on low heat: Slow cooking helps to tenderize the meat and develop the flavors. Cook the drumsticks on low heat for at least 6 hours, or until the meat is cooked through.
- Baste the drumsticks occasionally: Basting the drumsticks with the barbecue sauce helps to keep them moist and flavorful. Baste the drumsticks every 30 minutes or so, or as needed.
- Serve the drumsticks with your favorite sides: Barbecue drumsticks are a great main course for any meal. Serve them with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, coleslaw, or baked beans.
