- Lightly spray your crock pot with cooking spray
- Gently lift the skin of your chicken and generously rub your barbecue seasoning under the skin and on top of the skin
- Place your chicken in your crock pot and pour your beer over the top
- Sprinkle your barbecue seasoning on any areas the beer washed the seasoning away
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours
- Place in a broiler safe dish and broil for 2-5 minutes watching VERY closely to crisp up the outside

Steps:
- Place onion into a crockpot.
- In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, salt, chili powder, paprika, and garlic powder. Rub mixture all over each piece of chicken. Place over onions in crockpot.
- Pour beer over the chicken.
- Cover; cook on high for five hours or on low for seven to eight hours.

CROCK POT SHREDDED CHICKEN IN BEER
My friend Abby came up with this one. It is absurdly easy and makes a great base for chicken tacos, pulled chicken sandwiches, a change of pace topping for pierogies, or my husband's personal favorite, chimichanga filling. I buy frozen boneless, skinless chicken breasts in 10-lb. bags. No need to thaw: just toss 'em in the crock pot as is.

- Put chicken in a crock pot. Pour a bottle of beer over them. Sprinkle with one packet of seasoning mix. Cover and cook on low 6 - 8 hours.
- Remove cooked chicken and pull apart with two forks.
- Strain the liquid from the crock pot through fine mesh. Combine strained cooking liquid, the second pack of seasoning and pulled chicken.
- Serve hot.
