Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients. This will make a big difference in the flavor of your soup.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different types of chili peppers. There are many different varieties available, each with its own unique flavor and heat level. Find one that you like and use it in your soup.
  • Roast your own tomatoes and peppers. This will give them a smoky, roasted flavor that will add depth to your soup. You can roast them in the oven or on the grill.
  • Use a variety of beans. This will give your soup a more complex flavor and texture. Black beans, pinto beans, and kidney beans are all good choices.
  • Don't overcook the soup. Once the vegetables are tender and the beans are soft, it's done. Overcooking will make the soup mushy.
  • Serve the soup with your favorite toppings. Sour cream, avocado, cilantro, and cheese are all popular choices.

Conclusion:

Santa Fe soup is a delicious and easy-to-make soup that is perfect for a cold winter day. It is packed with flavor and nutrients, and it is a great way to use up leftover chicken or turkey. Experiment with different ingredients and toppings to find your perfect combination.
