"BLACK ANGUS" BLEU CHEESE DRESSING RECIPE

Provided by rom8v38and39

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 qt. Mayonnaise
1 qt. Sour Cream
8 oz. Bleu Cheese, crumbled
6 oz. Buttermilk
1 oz. Onion, finely chopped (I use green)
dash Worcestershire Sauce
1 T. Parsley Flakes
Salt & Pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • Combine mayonnaise & sour cream in mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients. Blend well with mixer or by hand using wire whip. Thin with wine vinegar, if necessary. Prepare a day in advance, to allow time for all ingredients to meld & bring out maximum flavor. Refrigerate at 38-40 degrees. (I half the recipe).

Tips:

  • When choosing a blue cheese for the dressing, opt for a variety with a strong, pungent flavor, such as Roquefort or Gorgonzola. This will help the dressing stand up to the bold flavors of the steak.
  • If you don't have buttermilk on hand, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar to 1 cup of milk. Let it stand for 5 minutes before using.
  • To make the dressing ahead of time, simply whisk together all of the ingredients except for the parsley and chives. Cover and refrigerate for up to 3 days. When ready to serve, stir in the herbs.
  • Serve the dressing immediately over grilled or roasted steak, or use it as a dipping sauce for vegetables or chips.

Conclusion:

Black Angus Bleu Cheese Dressing is a delicious and versatile condiment that can be used to enhance the flavor of a variety of dishes. With its bold, tangy flavor and creamy texture, this dressing is sure to be a hit at your next barbecue or party. So next time you're looking for a delicious way to dress up your steak, try this Black Angus Bleu Cheese Dressing. You won't be disappointed!
