VAMPIRE VODKA COCKTAIL

Vampire Vodka Cocktail image

Fit for Dracula himself! Sweet homemade grenadine serves as the "blood" in this inspired Halloween cocktail made with vodka, grapefruit juice, and fresh lime juice.

Provided by Martha Stewart

Categories     Food & Cooking     Drink Recipes     Cocktail Recipes

Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2 cup light agave syrup
1/2 cup pomegranate juice
1/2 cup grated red beet
2 ounces vodka
1 ounce fresh grapefruit juice
1/2 ounce fresh lime juice

Steps:

  • Syrup: Bring agave, pomegranate juice, and beet to a boil in a saucepan. Strain, then return mixture to pan and bring to a boil. Cook over medium-high heat until syrup has reduced to 3/4 cup, 5 minutes. Let cool completely. Syrup yields enough for 8 and can be refrigerated up to 1 month.
  • Cocktail: Pour vodka and both juices over ice. Sweeten with syrup to taste.

Tips:

  • To achieve the perfect consistency for the vampire drink, blend the strawberries until they are smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, add a little bit of water or milk to thin it out.
  • For a more intense flavor, use frozen strawberries instead of fresh ones. The freezing process concentrates the flavor of the berries, resulting in a richer and more satisfying drink.
  • To make the vampire drink extra creamy, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt to the blender along with the strawberries and milk. This will give the drink a smooth, velvety texture.
  • Garnish the vampire drink with a variety of fun and festive items, such as gummy worms, vampire teeth, or plastic fangs. This will add a touch of whimsy and make the drink even more enjoyable.
  • Serve the vampire drink immediately after blending. This will ensure that it is cold and refreshing.

Conclusion:

The bleeding vampire drink is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for Halloween parties or any other spooky occasion. With its vibrant red color and sweet, tangy flavor, this drink is sure to be a hit with people of all ages. So next time you're looking for a fun and festive drink to serve, give the bleeding vampire drink a try.
