These delicious Saturday morning treat are our kid's favorite. Fresh pancakes, hot off the griddle, topped with my buttery brown sugar cinnamon topping and served with cold milk. Great breakfasts are one good way I've found to keep my teenagers home!

BROWN SUGAR & CINNAMON PANCAKES
Steps:
- MIX flour, Cream of Wheat cereals and baking powder in medium bowl; set aside. BEAT milk, egg and margarine in separate bowl with wire whisk until well blended. Add to dry ingredients; mix just until blended. Let stand 5 minutes. COAT hot griddle or hot skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Ladle scant 1/4 cup batter onto griddle for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on top; turn over and cook until lightly browned. Repeat with remaining pancake batter. Serve with butter and maple syrup, if desired.
Tips:
- Use fresh ingredients: Always use fresh milk, eggs, and butter for the best flavor and texture.
- Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter will make the pancakes tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Let the batter rest: Letting the batter rest for a few minutes before cooking will allow the gluten to relax, which will result in lighter, fluffier pancakes.
- Use a hot griddle: A hot griddle is essential for cooking pancakes evenly. Make sure your griddle is heated to medium-high heat before you start cooking.
- Don't overcrowd the griddle: Don't overcrowd the griddle with pancakes, or they will not cook evenly. Leave some space between each pancake so that they have room to spread out.
- Flip the pancakes at the right time: Flip the pancakes when they start to bubble around the edges and the undersides are golden brown.
- Serve immediately: Pancakes are best served immediately after they are cooked. Serve them with your favorite toppings, such as butter, syrup, fruit, or whipped cream.
Conclusion:
Brown sugar cinnamon pancakes are a delicious and easy-to-make breakfast treat. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can enjoy a stack of hot, fluffy pancakes that are perfect for any occasion.
