Time 1h20m

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 lb bacon stips, diced
1 large onion, chopped
1/3 c unbleached all-purpose flour
1/2 to 1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
4 c 2% milk
12 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
12 hard-cooked eggs, sliced
2 c shredded swiss cheese
1/3 c grated parmesan cheese
2 Tbsp minced fresh parsley

Steps:

  • 1. In a large skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Remove with a slotted spoon to paper towels. Drain, reserving 1/3 cup drippings. In the drippings, saute onion until tender. Stir in the flour, salt and pepper until blended. Gradually stir in milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from the heat.
  • 2. Spread 1/2 cup sauce in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. Layer with four noodles, a third of the eggs and bacon, Swiss cheese and white sauce. Repeat layers twice. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • 3. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until bubbly. Sprinkle with parsley. Let stand for 15 minutes before cutting.

Tips:

  • Prepare the ingredients in advance: Chop the vegetables, cook the sausage, and make the bechamel sauce ahead of time to save time during assembly.
  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better the lasagna will taste. Choose fresh vegetables, flavorful sausage, and creamy ricotta cheese.
  • Don't overcook the pasta: Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package directions, but be careful not to overcook them. Overcooked noodles will become mushy and ruin the texture of the lasagna.
  • Layer the lasagna carefully: Start with a layer of sauce, then add a layer of noodles, followed by a layer of cheese, and so on. Repeat the layers until you have used up all of the ingredients.
  • Bake the lasagna until it is golden brown and bubbly: This will take about 30 minutes. Let the lasagna cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Conclusion:

Brunch lasagna is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is perfect for special occasions or everyday meals. With its rich flavors and cheesy goodness, brunch lasagna is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
