1 cup herbed croutons
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 lb ground beef
catsup

Steps:

  • Combine croutons & milk in a large mixing bowl.
  • Let stand about 5 minutes or till croutons are softened.
  • Add egg, Worcestershire sauce, onion and salt.
  • Beat well.
  • Add ground beef and mix until combined.
  • Shape into loaf and place in greased or foil lined shallow pan.
  • Score loaf by making several grooves across top.
  • Fill with catsup (I frost the whole loaf with catsup).
  • Bake in oven at 350° about 45 minutes to an hour or till well glazed.

2 lb lean ground beef
1 can(s) condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1 can(s) condensed mushroom soup, undiluted
1 pkg dry onion soup mix

Steps:

  • 1. Shape ground beef into a loaf and freeze. Place frozen loaf in a large piece of foil. Place soups and dry onion soup mix over it. Seal tightly and place in pan, bake at 300 degrees for 4 hours. Makes 6-8 servings.

Mix until combined. Shape into loaf. Place in shallow baking pan coated with cooking spray or foil lined. Score loaf by making several diagonal grooves across top. Fill with ketchup.2. Bake at 350° F about 45 minutes or until well-browned. Serve hot. MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS:1. Prepare according to step 1 above. Press meat mixture evenly in ungreased 9 x 5 x 3-inch glass loaf pan. Score loaf by making several diagonal grooves across top. Fill with ketchup.2. Microwave at HIGH 6 minutes. Rotate and microwave at HIGH 5 minutes longer. Cover and let stand 5 minutes before serving.Microwave cooking times may vary.
