1/3 cup baking cocoa
1/4 packed brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
3-1/2 cups confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
30 caramels, unwrapped
1 tablespoon water
2 cups salted peanuts
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips

Steps:

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter, cocoa, brown sugar and milk. Microwave on high until mixture boils, about 2 minutes. Stir in confectioners' sugar and vanilla. Microwave chocolate chips on high for 30 seconds or until melted; spread over caramel layer. Chill until firm.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality chocolate: The better the chocolate, the better the fudge will taste. Look for chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 55%.
  • Don't overcook the fudge: Overcooked fudge will be grainy and crumbly. Cook it just until it reaches the desired temperature, then remove it from the heat immediately.
  • Let the fudge cool completely before cutting it: This will help it to set properly and prevent it from crumbling.
  • Store the fudge in an airtight container at room temperature: Fudge can be stored at room temperature for up to two weeks, or in the refrigerator for up to four weeks.
  • Get creative with your toppings: You can add chopped nuts, dried fruit, sprinkles, or other toppings to your fudge to make it your own.

Conclusion:

Candy bar fudge is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a variety of delicious fudge flavors that will satisfy your sweet tooth. So next time you're looking for a sweet treat, give candy bar fudge a try!
