Steps:
- Place a pizza stone or heavy baking sheet in the oven. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. While the oven preheats, heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. CHEESEBURGER PITA
David came up with this recipe yesterday for our oldest son's return from Band Camp. Our son said the camp food was something akin to packing materials and was nothing but sheer torture! In honor of our son the family burger fiend and since David was making pita pizzas anyway, he decided to combine the two into this recipe. Needless to say, our son absolutely devoured the cheeseburger pita and asked for more the next day. We hope you all enjoy it as much as he did! (But do try to eat it a little more slowly, okay? ;D)

Tips:
- Choose the right pita bread: Opt for soft, fluffy pita bread that can hold all the fillings without tearing. You can warm the pita in the oven or microwave to make it more pliable.
- Use a variety of toppings: Don't limit yourself to just ground beef and cheese. Try different proteins like chicken, lamb, or even vegetables. Experiment with various cheeses, sauces, and toppings to create unique flavor combinations.
- Don't overcrowd the pita: While you want to include a variety of toppings, be mindful not to overload the pita. Too many fillings can make it difficult to eat and may cause the pita to break apart.
- Add some heat: If you like a little spice, consider adding some hot sauce, jalapeños, or chili powder to your cheeseburger pita. This will give it an extra kick of flavor.
- Make it a meal: Serve your cheeseburger pitas with a side of fries, onion rings, or a fresh salad for a complete and satisfying meal.
Conclusion:
Cheeseburger pitas are an easy and delicious way to enjoy a classic American dish. With endless possibilities for customization, you can create a cheeseburger pita that perfectly suits your taste buds. So next time you're craving a juicy burger, give this recipe a try - you won't be disappointed!
