CHEESEBURGER AND FRIES CASSEROLE II

Cheeseburger and Fries Casserole II image

My original Recipe #221110 is very simple and is a hit with kids especially, but honestly it is not my favorite. I have issues with the flavor of processed cheese (think Cheez Whiz, Velveeta, etc). So I came up with this alternative, which is just as easy as the original, and now I enjoy it too!

Provided by Betty Crocker Kitchens

Tips:

  • Use high-quality beef. 80/20 ground beef is a good option because it has enough fat to keep the burgers moist, but not so much that they're greasy.
  • Season the beef well. Use a combination of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to flavor the beef. You can also add other spices, such as chili powder, cumin, or paprika, to taste.
  • Cook the beef patties over medium heat. This will help them cook evenly and prevent them from drying out.
  • Use a cast-iron skillet. A cast-iron skillet is the best choice for cooking cheeseburger skillet fries because it retains heat well and evenly cooks the food.
  • Don't overcrowd the skillet. If you overcrowd the skillet, the food will not cook evenly.
  • Add the cheese at the end of cooking. This will help it melt and become gooey.
  • Serve immediately. Cheeseburger skillet fries are best served hot and fresh out of the skillet.

Conclusion:

Cheeseburger skillet fries are a quick and easy meal that is perfect for a weeknight dinner. They are also a great option for parties and potlucks. With a few simple ingredients, you can make a delicious and satisfying meal that everyone will love.
