Tips:
- Use fresh, ripe cherries: This will ensure that your bars have the best flavor. If you can't find fresh cherries, you can use frozen or canned cherries, but be sure to thaw them and drain them before using.
- Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing can make the bars tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Press the crust firmly into the pan: This will help to prevent the crust from crumbling when you cut the bars.
- Bake the bars until they are golden brown: This will ensure that they are cooked through.
- Let the bars cool completely before cutting them: This will help to prevent them from falling apart.
Conclusion:
Cherry walnut bars are a classic dessert that is perfect for any occasion. They are easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste. Whether you like your bars tart or sweet, chewy or crunchy, there is a recipe out there for you. So next time you are looking for a delicious and satisfying dessert, give cherry walnut bars a try.
