Tips:

  • Use High-Quality Ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better the cookies will taste. Use real butter, pure vanilla extract, and high-quality chocolate chips.
  • Follow the Recipe Carefully: Don't skip any steps or substitute ingredients unless you know what you're doing. Baking is a science, and changing the recipe can lead to disastrous results.
  • Don't Overmix the Dough: Overmixing the dough will make the cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the Dough: Chilling the dough before baking helps the cookies hold their shape and prevents them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the Cookies at the Right Temperature: The temperature of the oven can affect the texture of the cookies. Bake them at the temperature specified in the recipe.
  • Don't Overbake the Cookies: Overbaked cookies will be dry and crumbly. Bake them just until they are set around the edges but still soft in the center.
  • Let the Cookies Cool Completely: Let the cookies cool completely on a wire rack before storing them. This will help them keep their shape and prevent them from becoming soggy.
