This is my grandmother's recipe - 'Bunch' is short for 'Honeybunch,' our pet name for her. It is always a huge hit and it can be constructed the night before if need be. Just allow a little extra cooking time since the dish will be cold from refrigeration.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients whenever possible. Fresh crab meat, vegetables, and herbs will give your casserole the best flavor.
  • Don't overcook the pasta. Al dente pasta is best for this casserole, as it will continue to cook in the oven.
  • Use a good quality cheese. A sharp cheddar or Parmesan cheese will give your casserole a rich, cheesy flavor.
  • Season your casserole to taste. Add salt, pepper, and other spices to taste, until the casserole is flavorful but not too salty.
  • Serve the casserole hot, with a side of crusty bread or rice.

Conclusion:

Crab and penne casserole is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. With its creamy sauce, tender pasta, and succulent crab meat, this casserole is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
