Tips:

  • Choose fresh, ripe cranberries. Avoid cranberries that are bruised or have soft spots.
  • Use a food processor to finely chop the cranberries. This will help them distribute evenly throughout the meatballs.
  • Use a combination of ground beef and ground pork. This will give the meatballs a more flavorful and moist texture.
  • Add bread crumbs to the meatballs. This will help to bind them together and prevent them from becoming too dry.
  • Gently mix the meatball ingredients together. Overmixing can make the meatballs tough.
  • Form the meatballs into 1-inch balls. Use a spoon or your hands to shape them.
  • Brown the meatballs in a skillet over medium heat. This will help to seal in the flavor and prevent them from falling apart.
  • Transfer the meatballs to a slow cooker. Add the cranberry sauce, orange juice, and spices.

  • Serve the meatballs over rice, mashed potatoes, or noodles.
