CREAMY CRAWFISH PASTA
A friend from college gave me this recipe. It's perfect for me because, living in Louisiana, we always have a pound or so of crawfish left over after a crawfish boil. However, any seafood could be substituted for the crawfish if they are hard to find in your area.

- 2. Add flour, blend in well. Cover and cook on low for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 3. Add crawfish and parsley. Cover and cook 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 4. Add cream, cheese, jalapeno, garlic and mushrooms. Mix well. Salt & pepper to taste. Cook covered on low heat for 20 minutes stirring occasionally.
- 5. Cook noodles to al dente. Drain and add to sauce. Mix thoroughly.
- 6. Pour into buttered casserole dish. Sprinkle with parmessan cheese. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes.
Tips:
- Use fresh crawfish. Fresh crawfish have a sweeter, more delicate flavor than frozen crawfish. If you can't find fresh crawfish, you can use frozen crawfish, but be sure to thaw them completely before using them.
- Cook the crawfish properly. Crawfish should be cooked until they are bright red and opaque. Overcooked crawfish will be tough and rubbery.
- Use a good quality cream sauce. The cream sauce is one of the most important parts of this dish, so be sure to use a good quality sauce. You can use a store-bought cream sauce or make your own.
- Don't skimp on the cheese. Cheese is what makes this dish so creamy and delicious. Be sure to use a good quality cheese that melts well.
- Serve the pasta immediately. This dish is best served immediately after it is made. The pasta will start to absorb the sauce and become soggy if it sits for too long.
Conclusion:
Creamy crawfish pasta is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a special occasion or a weeknight meal. The combination of tender crawfish, creamy sauce, and al dente pasta is sure to please everyone at the table. So next time you're looking for a new and exciting pasta dish to try, give creamy crawfish pasta a try.
