CREAMY CAJUN "CHICKEN" PASTA (VEGETARIAN CHICKEN)
I came up with this recipe in attempt to please my husband who is not keen on fake meats. We all loved this dish and I don't believe he realized that the strips were not real chicken breast. The 6 year old licked his plate - literally. So if you happened to grab a bag and are wondering what on earth to do with it.... give this recipe a try. I know you will love it!

- In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté chik'n pieces in butter until heated through, about 2-3 minutes.

CREAMY VEGETARIAN CAJUN PASTA
I took a number of cajun pasta recipes and created my own version. Though we do eat meat, I love having meatless options so we always eat this vegetarian. :) Enjoy!

Tips for Making Creamy Cajun Vegetarian Pasta
- Use a good quality Cajun seasoning. This is the key to getting that authentic Cajun flavor. If you don't have Cajun seasoning on hand, you can make your own by combining paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and thyme.
- Don't be afraid to adjust the heat level. This recipe is written with a medium heat level, but you can easily adjust it to your liking by adding more or less cayenne pepper.
- Use a variety of vegetables. This recipe calls for bell pepper, onion, and zucchini, but you can use any vegetables that you like. Some other good options include carrots, celery, corn, and okra.
- Cook the pasta al dente. This means that the pasta should be cooked until it is just tender, but still has a slight bite to it. If you overcook the pasta, it will become mushy.
- Don't overcook the vegetables. You want the vegetables to be cooked through, but still have a little bit of crunch to them. If you overcook the vegetables, they will become mushy.
- Serve the pasta immediately. This dish is best enjoyed hot. If you let it sit for too long, the pasta will start to absorb the sauce and become mushy.
Conclusion
Creamy Cajun Vegetarian Pasta is a flavorful and delicious dish that's perfect for any occasion. It's easy to make and can be tailored to your own personal preferences. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, give this recipe a try.
