Tips:

  • Choose the right pumpkin: Select a pumpkin that is fully ripe and has a deep orange color. Avoid pumpkins that have blemishes or soft spots.
  • Clean the pumpkin seeds: Scoop out the pumpkin seeds from the pumpkin and rinse them thoroughly with water. Remove any remaining pulp or strings from the seeds.
  • Soak the pumpkin seeds: Soaking the pumpkin seeds in a bowl of water for at least 30 minutes will help to remove some of the salt and make them more tender.
  • Season the pumpkin seeds: Toss the pumpkin seeds with your desired seasonings before roasting them. Common seasonings include salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and chili powder.
  • Roast the pumpkin seeds: Spread the pumpkin seeds in a single layer on a baking sheet and roast them in a preheated oven at 300°F for 30-45 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
