I googled and found this recipe, then tweaked it a little bit. We tried it tonight and it's a very tasty dish. I am a new cook, so what I like about the recipe itself is that there's a little more to it than just throwing everything in there. It's simple, and it makes it more fun than other crock pot dishes.

This creamy soup is a true comfort dish for my family. It has a similar flavor to a chicken pot pie. If you are lucky enough to have some chopped chicken cooked/frozen, this can be put together unbelievably quick! This is extra good when garnished with croutons.

1 1/2 lbs chicken tenders, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 small onion, chopped
2 celery ribs, chopped
2 large carrots, chopped
2 cups frozen corn or 2 cups canned corn

Time 5h5m

Yield 6-8 serving(s)

4 chicken breasts, frozen
1 (15 ounce) can corn
1 (7 ounce) can creamed corn
1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
4 potatoes, quartered
2 cups milk
2 tablespoons chicken bouillon concentrate
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • Lay chicken breasts on bottom of crock pot.
  • Pour everything else over the top and stir (without moving the chicken).
  • Cook on low 8-10 hours or high 4-6 hours (I actually cooked it on medium for about 5 hours).
