  • Use fresh or frozen game hens. Fresh game hens will have a more delicate flavor, but frozen game hens can be just as delicious if they are thawed properly.
  • Season the game hens well. Game hens have a mild flavor, so it is important to season them well before cooking. Use a variety of herbs and spices to create a flavorful rub or marinade.
  • Cook the game hens on low heat. Low heat will help to keep the game hens moist and prevent them from overcooking. Cook the game hens until they are cooked through, but not overcooked.
  • Serve the game hens with your favorite sides. Game hens can be served with a variety of sides, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a salad.
