Tips:

  • Choose high-quality beef. Look for beef that is well-marbled with fat, as this will help keep the meat moist and flavorful during cooking.
  • Tenderize the beef. Cubed steak is a relatively tough cut of meat, so it is important to tenderize it before cooking. You can do this by pounding the meat with a meat mallet or by marinating it in a mixture of oil, vinegar, and spices.
  • Use a good quality wild rice blend. Wild rice is a hearty and flavorful grain that pairs well with cubed steak. Look for a blend that includes a variety of wild rice, such as black, brown, and red rice.
  • Cook the wild rice according to the package directions. Wild rice typically takes longer to cook than white rice, so be sure to allow enough time.
  • Season the cubed steak and wild rice to taste. Use your favorite spices and herbs to flavor the meat and rice. Some good options include garlic, onion, paprika, and cumin.
  • Serve the cubed steak and wild rice hot. This dish is best enjoyed when it is served immediately after cooking.
