For the avocado and tzatziki lover's of this world. A Greek classic with an Aussie twist! Here is a delicious and yet simple way to combine your favorite food with Tzatziki. The recipe calls for 1 teaspoon of salt, but I half this as I found it too salty. I also tend to dice the avocado very finely or lightly mash.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe avocados and cucumbers: Make sure the avocados are ripe but not mushy, and the cucumbers are firm and crisp.
  • Use Greek yogurt or sour cream: These ingredients add a creamy texture and tangy flavor to the tzatziki.
  • Fresh herbs are a must: Dill, mint, and parsley add a refreshing flavor to the tzatziki. Use fresh herbs whenever possible.
  • Don't over-process the tzatziki: You want the vegetables to retain some of their texture. Pulse the ingredients in a food processor or blender until they are finely chopped, but not pureed.
  • Chill the tzatziki before serving: This allows the flavors to meld and the tzatziki to thicken up.

Conclusion:

Cucumber and avocado tzatziki is a delicious and versatile sauce that can be used as a dip, spread, or dressing. It is perfect for summer gatherings, picnics, or potlucks. With its creamy texture, tangy flavor, and refreshing herbs, cucumber and avocado tzatziki is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
