Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: This will ensure that your yogurt coffee cake and pumpkin pie turn out flavorful and delicious.
  • Make sure your butter and cream cheese are softened to room temperature before using: This will help them mix together smoothly and create a creamy batter.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing can make the cake tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Use a bundt pan with a removable bottom: This will make it easy to remove the cake from the pan without damaging it.
  • Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting it: This will help the frosting set properly.
  • For the pumpkin pie filling, use canned pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling: Pumpkin pie filling already contains spices, which can overpower the flavor of the cake.
  • Spread the pumpkin pie filling evenly over the coffee cake batter: This will ensure that each slice of cake has a generous amount of filling.
  • Bake the cake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean: This will ensure that the cake is cooked through.

Conclusion:

This double-decker pumpkin pie yogurt coffee cake is a delicious and festive treat that is perfect for fall gatherings. The moist and flavorful coffee cake is topped with a creamy pumpkin pie filling, creating a dessert that is sure to please everyone. With a few simple tips, you can make this cake at home and enjoy it with your family and friends.
