EASY GARLIC SHRIMP

Easy Garlic Shrimp image

Easy enough to whip up on a week night. I serve with broccoli on the side. Makes enough sauce to even use with the broccoli. Makes a wonderful, quick, easy meal that looks like it took a long time to make. Could also be used as an appetizer. (I use Tony Chachers Original Seasoning for the Creole seasoning.)

Provided by Nikki C.

Categories     Very Low Carbs

Time 20m

Yield 2-3 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine
2 teaspoons garlic (fresh minced or use refrigerated)
1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
to taste- creole seasoning (I use Tony Chachers Original seasoning)

Steps:

  • Heat Oil and butter in large skillet.
  • Add garlic and then shrimp.
  • Add Creole Seasoning such as Tony Chachers Seasoning -to taste.
  • Cook until shrimp turn pink. Probably only 3 or 4 mins depending on the size of the shrimp.
  • Enjoy!

Tips:

  • Choose the right shrimp: For the best results, use fresh or frozen shrimp that has been peeled and deveined. Avoid using pre-cooked shrimp, as they will not have the same flavor or texture.
  • Use a large skillet: This will help to ensure that the shrimp cooks evenly and does not crowd the pan.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: If you are cooking a large batch of shrimp, cook them in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan. This will help to ensure that the shrimp cooks evenly.
  • Cook the shrimp until they are opaque and pink: The shrimp should be cooked until they are opaque and pink throughout. Do not overcook the shrimp, as this will make them tough and rubbery.
  • Add the garlic and butter towards the end of cooking: This will help to prevent the garlic from burning and will also allow the butter to melt and infuse the shrimp with flavor.
  • Serve immediately: Garlic shrimp is best served immediately after it is cooked. This will help to ensure that the shrimp are hot and juicy.

Conclusion:

Garlic shrimp is a quick and easy dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. It is also a great dish to serve at parties or gatherings. With its simple ingredients and delicious flavor, garlic shrimp is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
