Yield 2 steaks

Number Of Ingredients 2

1 part balsamic vinegar
1 part whiskey (I use Jack Daniels but any whiskey will do)

Steps:

  • Mix ingredients together, add to zip-lock bag with steak and ensure all is rubbed in/covered. Leave to marinate in the fridge for at least 30 mins and up to 3 hours. Bring to room temperature (in zip-lock bag/marinade) before grilling. I also like to add a little vegetable oil to the marinade, to cover the steaks in, prior to grilling rather than adding oil to the griddle. Salt & pepper once grilled/served.

Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of steak: Flank steak, skirt steak, or tenderloin are all good options for marinating.
  • Use a flavorful marinade: The marinade should contain a combination of acidic ingredients (such as vinegar or lemon juice), flavorful herbs and spices, and some oil.
  • Marinate the steak for at least 30 minutes: The longer you marinate the steak, the more flavor it will absorb.
  • Cook the steak over high heat: This will help to sear the outside of the steak and keep the inside juicy.
  • Let the steak rest before slicing: This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the steak, resulting in a more tender and flavorful steak.

Conclusion:

Whiskey steak marinade is a delicious and easy way to add flavor to your steak. By following these tips, you can create a marinade that will tenderize and flavor your steak to perfection. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy way to cook a great steak, give whiskey steak marinade a try.
