Tips:
- Follow the recipe precisely: Baking is a science, and precise measurements and techniques are crucial for success.
- Use high-quality ingredients: The quality of your ingredients directly affects the quality of your cake. Opt for fresh, flavorful ingredients whenever possible.
- Cream the butter and sugar together thoroughly: This step helps incorporate air into the batter, resulting in a light and fluffy cake.
- Gradually add the eggs: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. This prevents the batter from curdling.
- Do not overmix the batter: Overmixing can result in a tough, dense cake. Mix only until the ingredients are well combined.
- Bake the cake in a preheated oven: This ensures that the cake bakes evenly.
- Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting: This helps prevent the frosting from melting and running off the cake.
