Tips:

  • Choose the right vegetables: Use a variety of vegetables that are fresh, crisp, and in season. Some good options include broccoli, bell peppers, carrots, snap peas, and bok choy.
  • Prepare your vegetables properly: Cut the vegetables into uniform pieces so that they cook evenly. If you are using a wok, make sure that the vegetables are dry before adding them to the wok.
  • Use a hot wok: A hot wok is essential for getting a good stir-fry. Heat the wok over high heat until it is smoking.
  • Add the vegetables in stages: Don't overcrowd the wok with vegetables. Add them in stages, starting with the vegetables that take the longest to cook.
  • Stir-fry the vegetables quickly: Stir-fry the vegetables constantly, using a spatula or chopsticks. This will help to prevent them from sticking to the wok and will also help to evenly distribute the sauce.
  • Add the sauce: Once the vegetables are cooked to your liking, add the sauce. Stir-fry the vegetables in the sauce until they are evenly coated.
  • Serve immediately: Stir-fries are best served immediately. They can be served over rice, noodles, or quinoa.

Conclusion:

Stir-fries are a quick, easy, and healthy way to cook vegetables. They are also a great way to use up leftover vegetables. With a little practice, you can make a delicious stir-fry that your whole family will enjoy.
