Toss to mix in the ingredients and allow the mixture to heat through, about 30 seconds. Return the eggs to the pan and toss to combine. HAM AND CHEESE ARANCINI (ITALIAN FRIED RICE BALLS)
Yummy, comforting deep-fried rice balls filled with ham and onion, stuffed with melty, gooey cheese! I came up with these tasty little morsels after having something similar at a tapas restaurant in my hometown. Sadly, that restaurant closed its doors, so I was forced to recreate my favorite dish. *I have made these with havarti and swiss cheeses instead of the cheddar: all are equally good!* NOTE: After reading the review, please note: You definitely want to use rice that is somewhat sticky. Do not use leftover fluffy rice that has had the starch rinsed off as they will not hold together well.

Steps:
- Use a large skillet; pour enough oil to cover the bottom of the skillet.
- Heat oil over medium heat.
- On a plate, place enough flour to cover the plate.
- Then rolled your ham in the flour until well coated.
- When oil is starting to sizzle place ham in the skillet.
- Cook until golden brown on both sides.
- Placed on paper towels to drained the excess oil off.
Tips:
- Choose the right ham. Look for a bone-in ham that is fully cooked and weighs between 10 and 12 pounds. A larger ham will take longer to cook, so adjust the cooking time accordingly.
- Score the ham. Use a sharp knife to score the ham in a diamond pattern. This will help the glaze penetrate the meat and create a crispy crust.
- Make a glaze. There are many different recipes for ham glaze, but most of them contain brown sugar, honey, and spices. You can also add fruit juice or mustard for a different flavor.
- Cook the ham. Place the ham in a baking dish and pour the glaze over it. Bake the ham in a preheated oven at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour per pound. If the ham starts to get too brown, cover it with foil.
- Let the ham rest. Once the ham is cooked, let it rest for 15 minutes before carving. This will help the juices redistribute throughout the meat.
Conclusion:
Fried ham is a delicious and versatile dish that can be served for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is also a great way to use up leftover ham. With a little planning and preparation, you can easily make fried ham at home. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy meal, give fried ham a try.
