We absolutely love this bread! I use fresh green onions and fresh garlic. Any beer will do too! If you want to use 3 cup of self rising flour it works just as good! Just omit the Baking Powder and the Salt! Otherwise follow as directed. I love to make this when I make a stew or something with a gravy. I do hope you...

Time 55m

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 c baking mix (such as bisquick)
3 Tbsp sugar
1/2 Tbsp garlic salt
1/2 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp dried parsley flakes
12 oz beer (cold or room temp)
3 Tbsp butter, melted

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all dry ingredients together in bowl and mix well.
  • 2. Add beer (I used it cold, right from the fridge) and mix well with a wooden spoon. The dough will be "tacky" or "sticky".
  • 3. Pour into a greased loaf pan or 2 qt round casserole dish.
  • 4. Brush melted butter over the top of the dough.
  • 5. Place immediately into a preheated 375 F deg oven and bake for 50 minutes or until lightly golden brown.

Tips:

  • Use fresh garlic for the best flavor. If you don't have fresh garlic, you can use 1 teaspoon of garlic powder.
  • If you don't have beer, you can use chicken broth or water. However, beer will give the bread a more flavorful taste.
  • You can use any type of cheese that you like. Cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese are all popular choices.
  • If you want a crispy crust, brush the top of the bread with melted butter before baking.
  • Let the bread cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Conclusion:

Garlic beer bread is a delicious and easy-to-make bread that is perfect for any occasion. It is a versatile bread that can be served as an appetizer, side dish, or main course. It is also a great way to use up leftover beer. So next time you have a craving for some homemade bread, give garlic beer bread a try. You won't be disappointed!
