Tips:

  • Use gluten-free flour: Since this recipe is for gluten-free steamed apricot bread, using gluten-free flour is essential. Almond flour, oat flour, and coconut flour are all popular gluten-free options that can be used in this recipe.
  • Steam the bread in a steamer basket: Steaming the bread helps create a moist and tender texture. If you don't have a steamer basket, you can use a colander or a metal sieve placed over a pot of boiling water.
  • Use ripe apricots: Ripe apricots have a sweeter and more flavorful taste, which will enhance the overall flavor of the bread. If you don't have ripe apricots, you can use frozen or dried apricots, but adjust the amount of sugar accordingly.
  • Add nuts or seeds for extra texture: If you like, you can add chopped nuts or seeds, such as almonds, walnuts, or pumpkin seeds, to the batter for an extra crunchy texture.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature: Steamed apricot bread is best served warm or at room temperature. You can enjoy it as a snack, for breakfast, or as a dessert.
