SHRIMP MOLD (NEW ORLEANS STYLE)
My Grandmother's recipe - the best I have had. This is not spicy. ONE NOTE: I never have luck removing things from molds so I always use a decorative serving mold, never messy. Serve with gourmet crackers. You should use seasoned boiled shrimp to add to the flavor. Watch it dissapear! Yummy!

GRAMMY'S SHRIMP DIP MOLD
I used to make this in a mold but lately I have just been serving it in a decorative bowl since it goes like lightening. I have learned from experience, when you make and bring this dip somewhere, bring several copies of the recipe with you...it's that good. Enjoy ! **** This dip must be made the day before. It needs time to set.

Steps:
- Dissolve gelatin in the warm water. Set aside for a few minutes while you mix other ingredients.
- Mix tomato soup and cream cheese with electric mixer. Add onion and celery and shrimp. Now mix in gelatin & water mixture that has now become thickened. Last, add in the mayonnaise. Refrig. over night. Serve with crackers. I use Ritz ! Enjoy !
- If you are going to put this dip into a mold ( I used to use a mold in the shape of a fish ) then spray the inside of your mold with non-stick cooking spray and pour your dip into it and then refrig. overnight. I would dip the bottom of my mold into a sink filled with two inches of hot water and then unmold my dip. I'd place lettuce around the place before I unmolded the dip to decorate it up a little. With a couple of slices of lemon as added decoration.
Tips:
- Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: Fresh shrimp, crab, and vegetables will give your dip the best flavor.
- Don't overcook the shrimp: Overcooked shrimp will be tough and chewy. Cook them until they are just opaque, about 2-3 minutes.
- Use a variety of vegetables: Different vegetables will add different flavors and textures to your dip. Try using a combination of bell peppers, onions, celery, and carrots.
- Use a good quality cream cheese: The cream cheese is the base of the dip, so it's important to use a good quality brand.
- Season the dip to taste: Add salt, pepper, and other seasonings to taste. You can also add a bit of lemon juice or hot sauce for a little extra flavor.
- Chill the dip before serving: This will help the flavors to meld and the dip to set.
- Serve the dip with a variety of dippers: Crackers, chips, and vegetables are all good options.
Conclusion:
Whether you're looking for a quick and easy appetizer or a delicious main course, Grammy's Shrimp Dip Mold is sure to please. This versatile recipe can be made with a variety of ingredients, so you can customize it to your own taste.
