DELICIOUS GRILLED CHICKEN MARINADE

Delicious Grilled Chicken Marinade image

This is the most delicious marinade for large amounts of chicken that you are going to grill. I originally came up with this recipe when I was looking for a better marinade at culinary school, so the original recipe called for a bottle of Lea & Perrins, and a cup of veg. oil, But I wanted more depth of flavor then that, so I added a lot of different combinations of herbs until I came up with this one. And it makes the chicken moist and delicious.

Tips:

  • Use an acidic base: Marinades benefit from an acidic base, such as vinegar, lemon juice, buttermilk, or yogurt, to tenderize the meat and add flavor.
  • Add flavors and aromatics: Experiment with various herbs, spices, citrus zest, garlic, ginger, honey, or maple syrup to create a marinade that complements the chicken or vegetables.
  • Let it marinate: Allow the chicken or vegetables to marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours, to absorb the marinade's flavors.
  • Reserve some marinade: Set aside a portion of the marinade before adding the chicken or vegetables. This reserved marinade can be used as a basting sauce during grilling or as a flavorful addition to the finished dish.
  • Grill or cook as desired: Once marinated, grill, pan-sear, bake, or roast the chicken or vegetables according to your preferred cooking method and desired doneness.

Conclusion:

Marinating chicken, vegetables, or tofu is a simple yet effective technique to enhance their flavor and tenderness. By combining an acidic base with a blend of herbs, spices, and aromatics, you can create a marinade that infuses your ingredients with deliciousness. Experiment with different marinade recipes to find combinations that suit your taste preferences. Remember to let the ingredients marinate for an adequate time to allow the flavors to penetrate, and don't forget to reserve some marinade for basting or as a flavorful addition to the finished dish. With these tips, you'll be able to create succulent grilled chicken, tender vegetables, and flavorful tofu that will impress your family and friends at your next barbecue or gathering.
