6 tablespoons maple syrup
6 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
4 boneless pork loin chops (1-1/2 inch thick and 12 ounces each)

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, whisk syrup, vinegar, salt and pepper until blended. Pour 1/2 cup marinade into a shallow bowl. Add pork chops; turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour. 2 chipotle chiles in adobo, seeded and minced
1 teaspoon adobo sauce, from can
6 pork loin chops with bone (1 1/4-inch-thick)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
6 cups low sodium chicken broth or 6 cups water
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
2 cups uncooked quick-cooking grits
1 2/3 cups shredded smoked gouda cheese
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
