Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better the meatballs will be. Look for fresh, lean ground beef, pork, or turkey, and use a variety of fresh herbs and spices to flavor the meatballs.
  • Don't overmix the meatball mixture: Overmixing can make the meatballs tough. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined, then form the meatballs into balls.
  • Brown the meatballs before cooking them all the way through: Browning the meatballs gives them a nice crust and helps to seal in the juices. You can brown the meatballs in a skillet or in the oven.
  • Use a variety of cooking methods: Meatballs can be baked, fried, or simmered in sauce. Try different cooking methods to find the one that you like best.
  • Serve meatballs with a variety of sauces: Meatballs can be served with a variety of sauces, such as tomato sauce, marinara sauce, or barbecue sauce. You can also serve meatballs with a simple gravy or with a side of mashed potatoes or rice.
