Categories     Dessert

Yield 2 cups

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 cup nonfat sour cream
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine all ingredients until well blended.
  • Cover and chill until ready to serve.
  • Serve with assorted fresh fruits (such as strawberries, pineapple chunks, kiwifruit rounds, grapes and apple wedges), assorted dried fruits (such as apricots, apples and pears), and/or with chunks of angel food cake.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: Using fresh, high-quality ingredients is key to making any dip delicious. Make sure your vegetables are crisp, your herbs are fragrant, and your cheese is flavorful.
  • Balance the flavors: Dips should have a balance of flavors, such as sweet, sour, salty, and creamy. Use a variety of ingredients to achieve this balance, such as fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, and dairy products.
  • Don't overmix: Overmixing a dip can make it lose its texture and flavor. Mix your ingredients gently until they are just combined.
  • Chill before serving: Many dips taste best when they are chilled. This allows the flavors to meld together and develop.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs or spices: A simple garnish can add a touch of elegance and flavor to your dip. Try using fresh herbs, such as basil, cilantro, or parsley, or spices, such as paprika or cayenne pepper.

Conclusion:

Dips are a delicious and versatile appetizer or snack that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are easy to make and can be tailored to your own personal preferences. With a little creativity, you can create your own unique dips that will impress your friends and family.
