Tips:

  • Choose the right bread: Use a sturdy bread that can hold up to the ice cream, such as a French baguette, sourdough, or brioche.
  • Soften the ice cream: Let the ice cream soften slightly before spreading it on the bread. This will make it easier to spread and prevent it from tearing the bread.
  • Use a variety of toppings: Get creative with your toppings! You can use anything from chocolate chips and sprinkles to fresh fruit and nuts.
  • Freeze the ice cream loaf before serving: This will help the ice cream set and make it easier to slice.
  • Serve the ice cream loaf immediately: Ice cream loaf is best enjoyed fresh. If you need to store it, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and freeze it for up to 2 weeks.
