Time 25m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 pkg italian sausage, cut into 2-inch pieces (19-oz)
1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
1 can(s) tomato sauce (15-oz)
1/2 c frozen corn
2 tsp worcestershire sauce
3 c cooked rice

Steps:

  • 1. In a nonstick skillet over medium heat, cook sausage and peppers until sausage is browned.
  • 2. Add tomato sauce, corn and Worcestershire sauce.
  • 3. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat to low.
  • 4. Simmer 15 minutes or until sausage is fully cooked.
  • 5. Serve over hot rice.

Tips:

  • To make the perfect bell pepper, choose firm and brightly colored ones. Look for peppers that are heavy for their size, as this indicates a thicker wall and more flavor.
  • Cut the bell peppers evenly so that they cook uniformly.
  • Remove the seeds and ribs from the bell peppers to make them easier to stuff.
  • Use a variety of fillings to create a flavorful and visually appealing dish. Some popular options include ground beef, rice, beans, vegetables, and cheese.
  • Season the filling generously with herbs and spices to enhance the flavor.
  • Cook the bell peppers until they are tender but still slightly firm. This will prevent them from becoming mushy.
  • Serve the bell peppers immediately with your favorite sauce or topping.

Conclusion:

Inside-out stuffed bell peppers are a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed for lunch or dinner. They are easy to make and can be customized to your liking. With a variety of fillings and toppings to choose from, the possibilities are endless. So next time you're looking for a hearty and flavorful meal, give inside-out stuffed bell peppers a try.
