MATADOR TACO SALAD

Matador Taco Salad image

This salad has plenty of "kick"! if desired add in only 1 teaspoon cumin to the dressing. For even more heat use Hot and Spicy Old El Paso taco mix. If desired place the taco salad on top of tortilla chips instead of mixing them in. This salad will serve four as a main meal or six as a side salad. My taco seasoning mix recipe#76616 works well with this recipe!

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: Fresh ingredients will give your taco salad the best flavor. If possible, use ripe tomatoes, crisp lettuce, and freshly cooked ground beef.
  • Season the ground beef well: The ground beef is the main ingredient in the taco salad, so it's important to season it well. Use a variety of spices, such as chili powder, cumin, and garlic powder.
  • Don't overcook the ground beef: Overcooked ground beef is tough and chewy. Cook it just until it is browned through.
  • Use a variety of toppings: The toppings are what make a taco salad special. Use a variety of toppings, such as shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa, guacamole, and diced tomatoes.
  • Serve the taco salad immediately: Taco salad is best served immediately after it is made. The chips will get soggy if they sit for too long.

Conclusion:

Taco salad is a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. It is also a great way to use up leftover ground beef. With a few simple ingredients, you can make a taco salad that is sure to please everyone at the table.
